REMINDER:
As we celebrate Black History Month, we want to honor and uplift the rich history, stories, and experiences of our Black families here at Burbank Elementary.

Earlier this month, after seeing our Black History display featuring Black leaders and some of our Burbank families, one of our first graders asked, “What about us?” He didn’t see himself represented and wanted to be included. His question reminded us that Black history is living and breathing within our own school community.

We would be honored if you would share a brief family narrative along with family photos or portraits that reflect your history, culture, or lived experiences. With your permission, these stories and images will be showcased at the front of our school for our students to learn from and see themselves in them.
